Susan Pear Meisel
Meisel interprets her style as “Funky Real” with
an infusion of color into life. The layering of multiple colors builds up a ground
pattern that engages with one another in a vibrancy of color. The “Meisel line” is
the other key or ingredient that pulls the work together. Quirky and active, the line encapsulates
the color images of people, landscape/location, and structures. It is used as a visual
shorthand, jotting down information to be translated by the viewer.
